I am Peter Mesker, a logistics all-rounder with over 20 years of experience in sea freight, road transport, warehousing & distribution, supply chain and fashion logistics. After studying “Manager Port Transport and Logistics” at STC, I immediately started working as a logistics employee. In the following years I developed myself as an all-round forwarder after which I worked in various management positions. From import manager or general manager in sea freight to account management in the supply chain for international fashion brands.

However, this is just a glimpse of my years of work experience. For more comprehensive information, check out my Linkedin profile.

It was the variety in the different activities and functions that made the work so interesting and fun for me. At the same time, over the years I also experienced how logistics has changed and what that can mean for an organisation. Due to changes, I have experienced several acquisitions and reorganisations in 20 years.

The world is constantly changing and nothing stays the same. It is up to us as logistics professionals to move with these changes, no matter how big or small. Developments within an organisation also mean that staffing, strategy and goals change or have to change. These developments bring quite a few challenges. That is exactly what I like to take on!

That’s why I decided to start Logistic Nomad in September 2019. Being an independent logistics professional offers me the variety, flexibility and challenge I enjoy so much. In addition, I get to help (logistics) companies on a daily basis in meeting their biggest challenges.
